LAUREL, Md. (January 11, 2010): The Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission has announced the fishermen who caught the largest fish in four categories in 2009 from the waters of the Rocky Gorge and Triadelphia Reservoirs.
Bob Johnson of Laurel caught the biggest fish, a 26-pound striped bass. Peter Schumacker of Laurel landed the second largest striped bass – 24 lb. 11 oz. Both fish were caught at Rocky Gorge.
Jerry Sauter of Baltimore was a double winner, catching a 7 lb.7 oz. largemouth bass and a 5 lb.7 oz. small mouth bass in Triadelphia. David Schmitt of Laurel pulled in the second largest largemouth bass, a 5-pound catch from Triadelphia.
